Meet The Team

Susan Hardin

With 49 years of expertise in the jewelry business, Susan Hardin is the heart and soul behind Hardin Fine Jewelry. She originally started in 1978 as the owner of Banner Elk Consignment Company. Eventually, Hardin Fine Jewelry was born in 1994 out of her husband’s former law office (“We have much more fun than Ed did “). Susan lives in Banner Elk with her husband Ed and their cat Momma Dot, their mountain trout, koi fish, and ducks. Susan is a mother of four, grandmother of nine, and a great-grandmother of three! When she isn’t at Hardin, Susan loves to knit, paint, create her famous Susan bracelets, travel, and spend time at her beach home in Southport, NC.

Owner Operator

Cameron Serafim

Cameron has been with Hardin Jewelry since 2005. She taught at Banner Elk Elementary for many years after graduating from ASU, while also working at Hardin part time. Eventually Cameron transitioned to being full time employee and became the gallery director. Cameron lives in Banner Elk with her furry, four-legged sidekick Gidget. She has two sons, Faris and Finley. In her spare time Cameron likes to binge watch Netflix originals, play with her grandpups Charley and Sammie Sue, create custom hats, and spend time with friends.

Gallery Guru

Margaret joined our team here at Hardin in Spring of 2022. Since then she has been our go-to gal for errand running, curating customers wants, and wine pouring! Margaret lives in Grandfather with her husband Paul, their cat Chloe, and her son Ben whenever he comes to visit. Margaret is our certified busy bee but in her limited free time she enjoys reading, traveling, being with friends and family, and all of our staffs favorite activity- drinking wine on the porch.

Every good business needs a social director and ours is Linda! She has been with us since 2008. Linda plans all of our social events including trunk shows, Friday at Five get togethers, gallery openings and spur of the moment pop-up parties She is famous for her grilled tenderloin, shrimp ceviche, and BLT dip. Linda lives in Banner Elk with her husband Gene and her two cats, Turbo and Carolina.

Annie is the newest edition to the Hardin jewelry team. As a recent graduate of UNCA, Annie earned her bachelors degree in Mass Communication. She is getting her start in Website Design and Social Media Management here at Hardin. Annie was born and raised in Banner Elk and is very grateful to be back! She lives in Boone with three of her friends where she enjoys cooking, doing her nails, watching sitcoms and hanging out with friends.
